TRI Engineering deploys Dassault Systemes's PLM solutions

Date: 10/06/2010
Title:TRI Engineering deploys Dassault Systemes's PLM solutions

TRI Engineering has fully digitized its Robot Hemming System, a car parts production system, by deploying Dassault Systemes's CATIA, a product lifecycle management, or PLM, solutions.

The solutions enable TRI Engineering to optimize the whole process in 3D and improve communications with its customers.

With the aim of expanding 3D use in the future, the company also decided to deploy DELMIA and ENOVIA. This enables the company to improve the product quality by integrating design, analysis, robot motion simulation, and teaching using 3D, and also improving communications with its clients.

Takeharu Oka, vice president of design and sales at TRI Engineering, said: "We can see the huge merits of using 3D dynamically. We use 3D for robot motion simulation, presentation for clients and explanation using computer-aided engineering, which improve communications drastically. We are planning to expand 3D use further for more efficient data management, structural analysis and manufacturing simulation."
