Q-Checker Q-Checker is a tool that operates within the CATIA environment, ensuring that correct quality standards are adhered to. It enables companies to meet both their design and quality requirements at the point of data creation. Preconfigured standards and quality checks are defined and data is then tested against these checks for approval. Errors that would previously have been detected in downstream processes are identified earlier with Q-Checker, saving costs in redesign and repeat manufacture. Q-Checker consists of a Geometry Checker that controls the integrity of the geometric elements and a Structure Checker that assures the compliance of a CATIA model to company and industry standards. For example: Model Attributes (Allowed Geometric Entities, Save Status), Attributes of Geometric Entities (No Show, No Pick), Clean Up (CATCLN-Utility, Delete of Unused Details and Empty Sets), etc. Q-Checker has been adopted by more than 1,000 OEM’s including both Airbus and Ford. CAD standards Q-Checker helps to meet company standards. Data exchange is improved and departmental inter-process collaboration is facilitated.  Saving time in repairing a model Q-Checker detects errors in geometry and contains advanced healing functions in order to automatically correct many defects. As a result, the cost-intensive detection and repair of defects in downstream processes is eliminated.  User interface Q-Checker has been completely designed from the user’s perspective and is widely configurable to meet the needs of every company. Checks can be configured by the administrator or standard profiles can be imported from most of the major OEM’s.  Active learning Comprehensive help pages support the user with detailed explanations making checks transparent.  Repeated use Q-Checker allows the repeated use of existing models.
