Propeller Torsional Analysis

Objectives

  • Analyse new engine installation in aircraft to confirm acceptable driveline vibration behaviour –for leading propeller manufacturer

Project Scope

  • Complete mass-elastic model developed incorporating engine, propeller and driveline stiffnesses (including pendulum vibration absorbers)
  • Calculation of engine combustion loads
  • Implementation into NASTRAN
  • Determination of natural frequencies
  • Provide full mass-elastic model to customer for use in forced response analyses
